What is Hobonichi Techo?

A "one page per day" type planner that makes you want to pack everything in. Since its launch, its unchanging appeal has been its ability to "write as much as you want." Plans, notes, scraps, and more... Everything about work, play, and everything about you is packed into this one book. People who use their planners in this way seem to enjoy every day very much.

The Hobonichi Techo is a "LIFE BOOK." It's a planner that can be used freely and in a way that suits each owner's lifestyle and taste.

This year, all Hobonichi covers are sold WITH the corresponding A6 Original or A5 Cousin book included. All planner books are also available to purchase separately. There is also a full lineup of HON planners, hardcover books with the covers attached, so no cover is needed. For those who prefer a compact planner style, there is the Hobonichi Weeks. A Note About the Paper

Hobonichi has released the following statement regarding customer feedback on the paper in last year's books:

Every year, we collaborate with the paper companies that produce Tomoe River and the printing and binding companies that handle printing and binding, making adjustments to various aspects, including the writing experience and durability of the binding. We received several inquiries about the paper used in the previous 2025 edition, complaining that the ink would bleed through depending on the writing instrument used . We immediately reviewed the matter with the paper companies and printing companies and confirmed that the paper meets our existing quality standards. However, we take seriously the fact that some customers reported ink bleed-through and that this disappointment may have been felt by the paper. Therefore, with the cooperation of the paper companies and printing companies , we have made further fine-tuning adjustments to the paper for the 2026 edition, aiming to ensure that as many customers as possible will enjoy the writing experience and feel of the paper. Improving one aspect— paper thinness, ink penetration, or binding durability— can sometimes affect the others. We have re-adjusted the paper to minimize bleed-through while balancing all three of these elements: thinness, durability, and comfortable writing experience . However, we hope you understand that the feel of the product may change depending on the writing instrument and the environment in which it is used , and that there may be slight individual differences between production units . We have always strived to create planners that everyone will enjoy , and will continue to do so in the future. If you notice anything, no matter how small, please let us know.
